EMERGE 2005 Day Three! (Thursday)

Today morning was the Extreme ADventure, Biathlon and Cluster Telematch events, all held at Sentosa. I didnt attend, so I went for lessons in school in the morning, leaving during lunch to go to church to qUeue. Haha.

I reached at 2pm, and joined the queue for the grand finale, the last and final session of Emerge. What time does it start? sEvEn pm =)) Once again, kiasu-im has taken over the youth. But then, anyone who arrived later than 4.30pm could dREAM of getting a seat in the auditorium.

By 3pm this was the queue (at the queueing area, church carpark, level 3.). Its a very... er, tHick queue. lol:



We were allowed out of the queue to buy stuff and go to toilet, as long as we wrote down our names with the ushers standing around (to prevent queue cutting). So my group sent people down to the coffeeshop to get chicken rice for all of us.

How did we pass about 4 hours? Haha.. by doing lame stuff of course. The people around me told lame jokes (which helped to bring down the temperature -_-), chatted, and played the usual zhong ji mi ma. Haha.. the loser had to stand up, in full view of everyone, and do the dance for the Emerge theme song!! Funnie. But lucky thing i never kena. In fact i have never lost at zhong ji mi ma before =))

At about 6 the ushers let the people down to the auditorium, and the place was totally packed.

Praise and worship was once again a blast =) Dancers, rappers, confetti launchers all took our breath away during the P & W. What i loved most were 4 big spouts installed in front of the stage. During one of the songs, they would each blow one big fireball up at LEAST 6m into the air at different intervals, creating an awesome visual spectacle. Whoa, I could even smell the burning smell of fire, and also felt the heat. But the auditorium's ventilation system quickly got rid of that. Yep. But MAN that it awesome. This is how the spouts look like, in red. The things in the yellow circle are 'flashlights' (dunno real name) often found at rock concerts, and they would flash brightly often after a fast songs ends, almost blinding me. lol. Pretty cool too =):



Woo~! Service ended with the praise leader jumping off a stack of around 7 chairs while playing his guitar. Twice. LOL. And also the chruch dancers rapping the tune of Emerge 2004's theme rap. Cant remember the lyrics. Haha. And so ends Emerge 2005.. Can't wait for next year, where it will be held at the Expo. No more long queues! YippEEeeeeee.
