Primer 2! (yawn!)
Oh man.. I've been sleeping during lecture.. for a short time of about 20 mins during lecture my head would just go into 'standby mode' and I wud just sway side to side, nodding off. and my fingers would just lose energy and instead of writing notes I end up scribbling on my papaer. Heh can see exactly the point in time when I fell asleep by looking at my notes. Haha.. this EVEN though each day I only have ONE 1 hr long lecture (supposed to be 2 hrs long, but often ends as early as 1hr before time). The rest is tutorial.
ANYway. School as usual today. Cher briefed us for our next proejct, called Primer 2- I feel, therefore I am. It lasts for a whopping 6 weeks!
This is what my group and I are supposed to do..
Humans have 5 senses. Smell, taste, touch, sight and hearing.
We want you to create an installation (to be named "De' Pod". Don't ask why.) to be set up anywhere on campus, not exceeding 1.8m in dimension on any axis. It should hold one human being, and by impacting the senses, make the occupant experience a
phenomena, which is, something that can be felt, but does not happen naturally. The installation must be made of permanent or semi-permanent materials (like wood or metal or bamboo), and protect the occupant from weather.
Heh, in other words, create something that can make the occupant feel the sensation anything from fear, to flight, to speed, to floating, or even maybe claustrophobia.
The 'Pod' shall be made of recycled materials, but must look like new when presented. Bought materials cannot exceed $100. Lecturers grading the project will step inside to try out the 'phenomena' that the Pod provides.
Lol. Cheem hor? Its a loong 6 weeks ahead.. haha. one of my group's original concepts is to create a big wooden coffin complete with nice white cushion lining. It will be situated at a dark location at night, and the occupant will lie inside n we will abandon them for 15 mins =pp. Lol. sadistic. And another of our ideas was to get laughing gas n make the occupant laugh. Haha. We also toyed with the suggestion of pumping helium, make the lecturer's voice all squeaky, tape it down, and then replay it to them. HaHa lol. Anyway we already settled on a final concept. Shh secret. Can't tell. bUt it involves the lecturer's blood flowing to his/her head. Wahahaha.
