Schoolwork and Mr Phua
Whoa.. today marks the conclusion of two weeks in a nonstop rollercoaster, where we had to do a project called Primer 1, with new processes and tasks heaped upon us even before we barely completed the task before...
Sleeping at 2am everyday, sketching, making models, has taxed me physically, but still, its been a fun ride.. much more enjoyable than staying up till 2am for a grubby chemistry tutorial or big chunks of text fighting for a space in your little brain that seems already cramped full of oTher chunks of text, if u ask me =)
The night before deadline was really crazy man..I shut myself inside my air-con room n wrote n wrote n wrote, because the primer required me to explain and rationalise why i did this and that, and my observations..
So i stayed up still 2+, with my pen flying across the paper, writing some truly crappy stuff, by the time i finished, my head was swirling and my vision was kinda blur. so i penned my final word, and sunk straight into my inviting bed for well deserved sleep =))
Man, the life of an architect (or rather architect to-be..) rOx.. haha..
"The paper model is a medley of two contrasting forms, circles and triangles, representing a merging of polar opposites, like black or white, dark and light, yin and yang etc etc.."
Get what i mean? cRap! lol.. i just wrote what came to mind.. betcha laughing ur head off now. But i think my explanations are not all bad.. lol.
Also went out with a great person during the week.. had a very, very special time.. You know who you are, B.C. =)))
ANyway, movIng on, last saturday i went for... PCK Musical!! Had complimentary $85 tickets, thanks to Kelvin, my cousin's friend, both from church. (once again thanks Kelvin.. 'ppreciate it.) :)
To sum it up, the musical was quite mediocre. It felt more like an average TV episode, instead of the multi-million dollar spectacle it was touted to be. Sure, the sets are really grand and nice, but the content is so cliched and boring.
This is the scene where he consults a fortune teller... quite cool backdrop..

Surprise birthday parties? Bah. Setting up a trap for your rival to sign away all his possessions to you? Bah. I must say the acting is funny and presentable, but the content is so half-baked and childish.. E.G. the script was like, Rosie: "wah u think i sexy ar?" PCK: "EEEee of course not la u siao ar!". In fact the words 'sexy', 'backside' and actions like slapping butts occurred so many times that i got sick of it. TOTALLY. Like, EEEEeeeWwww...
I would give it about 2-3 out of 5 stars.. Think Phantom Of The Opera's still better =) well DUH...
Conclusion is, it's good and light humour for a night's entertainment, but it is not worthy for Singapore to use as a national showcase of our country's 'great' musical-writing skills. -___-
Heheh.. that's his big mOle im tugging at 0_0... Whee..

Had a lousy National Education talk on wed afternoon. The brigadier-general in charge of the tsunami relief team came to give a super-etailed talk about how wonderful and great his team is, and how they performed without mistake perfectly blah blah blah. Every class had to send 10 ppl to go, and i was amongst the lucky 10. At least i got 2 CCA points from it lol.
The video of the destruction and carnage they showed at the start was quite moving, but once he started rambling about the teeny weeny details of how his team operated, 70% the auditorium went into deep, deep slumber.. Er, so did i. Lol. Must thank SP for outfitting the audi with such comfy seats. lOl.
Wahaa. That's all folks! Till next time, Byeee. And by the way Primer 2 starts on monday. Groupwork this time. i am sO looking forward to it lA....... Haha.
